Everyone (coming from CA, OR, WA, and BEYOND):
Drive to Old Station, California. Here is the last gas station before the site.
Turn onto HWY44 East.
Drive 35.6 miles.
Turn Right onto McCoy Road (just after McCoy Reservoir on your right side)
Drive 1mile
Turn Left
Drive 1.7mile
Turn Right onto Conard Road
Drive 0.5mile and you’re there!
Note: If coming from the South and you chose to drive from I-5 North to HWY36 East to Chester (road improvements 24hrs/day cause 30+minute delays between Chester & Westwood) to Westwood to HWY-A21, avoid turning Right onto “Conard Road” to the site. There is active logging on the initial 2 miles of this section of Conard Road. Instead, continue on HWY-A21 North to HWY44 East and follow the above directions from there.
Closest towns are Susanville (30min, gas, grocery, Walmart, restaurants), Westwood (40min, gas, mini mart, no grocery, pizza, café), Chester (1hr away, grocery, gas, restaurants).
